¹⁷ These are the years of the life of Ishmael, ^(A)one hundred and thirty-seven years; and he breathed his last and died, and was ^(B)gathered to his people. ¹⁸ They ^[a]settled from ^(C)Havilah to ^(D)Shur which is ^[b]east of Egypt ^[c]as one goes toward Assyria; ^(E)he ^[d]settled in defiance of all his ^[e]relatives.
